About You
I enjoyed it throroughly. I got to experience the true life of a lawyer in a world renowned financial services company.
I felt very valued. Everyone treated me like I was one of their won and made me feel welcome.
I received a tremendous amount of support from my line manager throughout the whole time I was there.
The knowledge I have gained from this experience is invaluable and will help me in my path to becoming a lawyer in the not too distat future.
The Company
The structure of my work experience was very relaxed. However, I feel that this is the right approach as no lawyer has a strict schedule and no day is the same.
The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. Although it is a high pressure environement at times, the overall ambiance of the company was always calm and collected.
The team made sure that I always had something to do, whether it be readin gup on current case or actually atteding the trials.
The work experince really did give an accurate representation of what it is like to work as a lawyer in a financial services company. With the immense workload and long hours, I felt like I was already working there!
From day one the ethos of UBS was isntilled in me. They made it clear that they were not an average day company and did so by making sure that everyone was fully aware of the dynamic of the company.
Workign at UBS has mad eme 110% certain that law is the profession for me. Although it isn't a law fir I was still working with top lawyers in a top finanical services company therefore I am grateful for the knowledge that I have gained.
Everything Else
I did't feel the need to be reimbursed or paid because the msot valuable aspect of the work experience was gaining insight into the way in whivh law is important in the corporate world.
I was introduced to a tremendous amount of people throught my time and the connections I have made will beneift me significantly in the future.
There were many opportunities to network, however I chose not to as my main focus was gaining experience.
I was introduced to their Community Affairs Programs that they run all over the world with primary volunteers being UBS workers.
Most definitely.
