The Role
I enjoyed day-to-day working life such as printing pr cuttings and emails etc
I felt comfortable with my employees and got on well. Enjoyed their company and could have a laugh too
One of the managers was really supportive and gave myself great advice that i have kept for the future. I think it depends on the manager and how they value themself.
Some times my work capacity was very quiet and others day there wouldn't be enough hours in the day! But i quite liked being rushed off my feet as it passes the day alot quicker!
I believe that i was given lots of responsibilty as i settled into my role. Dealing with prestigious running of events and handover of work that had to be completed. This was very rewarding knowing that you are valued.
Im hoping im going to use them on a daily basis but not entirely show as when i will need to use these skills. I think they will be important in my final year and when applying for graduate jobs as you have the basic skills that many other students haven't.
The Company
Even though i enjoyed my placement and did have a laugh, there was not enough banter and chit chat. Everyone seemed to get on with their work and not really finding time for this, which i feel is very important!
Very well organsied and i had no problems throughout the placement year. It seemed to flow well and there wasnt any hick ups.
I didnt really go on many courses as one that i was about to go was cancelled due to numbers.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Enjoyable, but will not go back as would prefer a young, dynamic company. I was the youngest in my department!
The Culture
I was the only placement student there, it would of been nice if organisations take two students on a time so you can mix and learn/ share things together.
Travel to work was extremely expensive and would always leave me low for cash!
Didnt really go out that much for nightlife sadly, more during the day time
Some such as away days in work and pub for lunch times and people leaving
