About You
It gave a really thorough insight into the life of the firm and the tasks which trainees undertake.
The firm were really good at making you feel like you were a real part of the team and showing how the work you were doing was contributing to an overall project.
The buddy and supervisor system in place meant that there was always someone you could ask questions to, The weekly meetings with the supervisor and daily with the buddy also meant you could get any issues addressed really quickly.
Its given me a better view of how the law is applied in practice and influenced the way in which I can see my career progressing. This will then influence the subjects which I will take in the final years of my degree.
The Company
It was really well structured with information sessions, social activities as well as just time spent in your project group.
The atmosphere was really good. Everyone was very friendly and always willing to get to know you and answer any questions which you might have.
Each morning there was a training session to help you get to know the firm and built up your commercial awareness.
It was a good overview as working with the trainees you saw exactly what it was that they did and you would be given to do.
The firm were keen to display their culture from the beginning and I think it worked well.
Everything Else
We were paid
There were lots of different opportunities arranged to get to know the rest of the firm.
The mix of events with the trainees and the whole firm meant that you really got to know everyone. The variety of events organised were also good.
The staff were keen to tell you about the other activities organised which are associated with the firm but also those they take part in excluding that.
I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.
