About You
I really enjoyed my time at Pinsent Masons. My trainee buddy was very friendly and immediately welcomed me to other members of the team. I got my first choice of department in Technology, Media and Telecoms. I was constantly busy, which was great. Sometimes it was difficult when I had to prepare for my interview but was working late.
Everyone gave constructive feedback an d a partner even took me for a coffee to say thank you! People went out of their way to ask me about myself and thank me for work. They sent me exaples of client letters as well.
My buddy constantly gave me review feedback sessions where we went through my objectives. If I ever had any queries my buddy was there.
It was great for gaining insight into the real work of a trainee. I also think it was very helpful for time management skills, as well as email etiquette and office etiquette etc.
The Company
Good. We had practice presentations every morning so we got an insight into the whole firm, and I like the fact you stay in one department the whole time so you get to know everyone and get a feel for the place.
Friendly and hard working.
We were constantly having presentations on what to expect as a trainee. They also obviously invested a lot into social events. I think generally they invest a lot in you and you feel really valued.
You get a day to day experience of what its like to be a trainee. I think this was really useful.
It gave you a good idea of where the company is heading and the kind of people who work there.
Very helpful. It confirmed my ambition to be a commercial solicitor. It also gave me an insight into lots of different practice areas within commercial law.
