The Role
Very much - great work atmosphere, lovely people, high levels of responsibility and excellent exposure to an industry (banking) that fascinates me
You do feel valued, as mentioned before you are given lots of responsibility as an intern and treated like a permanent member of staff
Lots of support, not just from your manager and director but from all your colleagues. Constant training and exercises to help you improve as a consultant
Very busy, there is never nothing to do. Your day can go from being very slow, thinking you haven't got much to do, to being the busiest day you have ever had
Lots - from day one you are on the phone speaking to very senior people and to clients
It will help tremendously - it has made me a lot more confident in person, and has allowed me to learn a lot about the industry I recruit for (Financial Markets), which is useful for an Economics degree
The Company
Excellent, very professional and corporate but at the same time laid back and fun
Very organised and structured, intensive 12 week training course and follow up appointments
Allowed you to focus on your personal goals as well as generally training you to become a recruitment consultant

Very appealing, Hays have an excellent progression structure with a clear route to success, and a great commission structure too. Being the number one recruitment firm in UK&I is also highly appealing
The Culture
Excellent social scene amongst the other interns, as well as with university friends at other firms.
Standard London pricing (ie: expensive) - circa £180 rent and £5 a pint
Excellent - in the heart of the city so lots of different things to do
Yes, some people join 5-aside football teams with colleagues from work
