The Role
Gained good experience of a corporate sales environment and how an office works within a FTSE 250.
Good team atmosphere is fostered by a good social scene and incentive schemes ran fairly frequently. By the nature of having sub-specialism focuses you get to know your sub-team very well.
Would have been easier if there had been a crossover with a previous intern in order to understand the market and provide a background within the specific specialism that I was working. However, my colleagues were always open to providing answers to the questions I needed.
Busy, you are treated like a full-time consultant so you have to manage your own 360 degree desk.
You are treated like a full-time consultant, therefore you have candidate and client facing responsibility. These are reflected in your KPI's. I was personally trusted to lead a client meeting which was cool.
Invaluable lessons in working in a sales environment. Due to the nature of the role you develop your negotiation, pitching, project management and target setting attributes.
The Company
Lively atmosphere. A lot of team drinks and a good amount of incentives.
Good training structure and appraisal process is in place. There is support if you need it.
Lots of training, and training days. I think there was sufficient investment.

Good opportunities and chance of progression afterwards.
The Culture
Mainly focused within your teams, however if you have initiative then there are plenty of placement students around to socialise with.
London is naturally expensive, but the upside is you get the chance to do anything/night you want.
Good, always something to do on most nights
Slightly limited, but there are opportunities for sport teams.
