    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed the two day talent academy with PwC. The variety of information sessions, group projects and social opportunities made the experience both interesting and exciting. The experience also gives you a choice of elective sessions and a chance to meet employees in your line of service and to meet some of the partners in PwC. My time spent with PwC was thoroughly enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • During the whole time with PwC I felt extremely valued. The company certainly spared no expense in making sure the two days were enjoyable. In addition by getting the chance to meet the partners and other employees of PwC, everyone asked questions about yourself and at no point did I feel inferior.

  • Adequate support was given to help complete the group project.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have certainly improved and developed many new skills as a result of the experience. I am sure that my group work will have improved as a result of having to work with people I had only just met. Additionally my debating skills would have also increased through the group project. Other skills I developed were my business awareness, interview skills, social skills in a business environment and knowledge in terms of how PwC operates and the services it provides.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was very well structured and everyone was kept very busy. Everything ran according to the plan and within the time allocated. Additionally time was allocated as free time to relax and refresh for the next event.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • During the insight the atmosphere was energetic. There was a certain buzz that made the whole experience fun, focussed and sociable.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • PwC invested much more than I expected in terms of providing us with information and allowing us to spend time with partners in the company.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Given the extent of time we had with a variety of different employees within PwC, the insight certainly helped me understand what it would be like to work for PwC.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • A large emphasis was placed on the culture at PwC and the role that it plays within the firm. This helped me understand how the culture within PwC helps it to differentiate itself.

  • The content was very useful in helping to determine my future career path. Many people found the content so useful that they wished to change their line of service within the company as they were attracted by another area.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Both travel, food and hotel expenses were paid for by PwC.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • As already mentioned there were many opportunities for networking with employees within the firm which included meeting some of the partners within PwC.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • At any time during the insight we were able to ask questions of the employees about the firm or their experience. On one night a dinner took place where we were given the opportunity to dine with partners of the firm.

  • I obtained adequate information for activities employees can get involved in outside of work.
