About You
It was absolutely fantastic, and I would strongly recommend the Talent Academy for anyone. It's really good to get to know partners and directors, and get insights into the company culture.
We were made to feel very valued and very capable. Partners and organisers were interested in us, and our skills.
They made it very easy for us to see how to enter the company and what they look for. During sessions we could ask any question without concern.
The skills such as networking will be very useful, and the debate activity is excellent for communication and team work. However, tasks we were given were not case studies and examples we would do when actually working. Sessions did give an excellent view into the work pwc does and how broad it's services are.
The Company
Very! It was fast-paced and I was never bored. Everyone knew what they were doing and where they should be.
Everyone was incredibly approachable and interesting.
They invested a lot of time and money in us, and gave us a lot of help with preparations for second year internship interviews.
The tasks were not based around actual work we would do, but the sessions were designed to give us an insight into pwc and the work they did in all lines of service.
There was very evidently a type of person pwc look for, and the culture of smart and friendly people was very predominant throughout the event.
The culture and people really made me want to work for pwc, and the discussions I had with partners made me realise how flexible pwc is - any role, any place in the globe you want to work, they will and can place you there.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimbursed up to £100, all food and accommodation was paid for. A coach was available to take us to and from the station to the venue
We could network with the organisers and people within our line of service throughout, and partners and directors were available to talk to and dined with us on one night, so we had over 4 hours to meet and question very high up employees who were great, and very happy to give out email addresses.
Really great- you felt like you could really work with them and that they were more than happy to talk to you.
Charity work, diversity work, work on campus to improve female and minority participation, sporting activities.
Definitely!
