About You
I thought the engagement with senior members of the firm, including partners, was particularly impressive.
Guidance and support was available but not overwhelming during all sessions.
Skills developed on the insight day will prove invaluable in my future career, and more immediately the information I received will be very useful during the remainder of the application process.
The Company
The structure was orderly and appropriate, and was communicated well to all participants from the start and throughout.
The atmosphere, led by the organisers and partners, was highly enjoyable and positive throughout. It really felt like a supportive and friendly environment in which to work.
While the insight was informative and interesting, it was hard to imagine exactly what a full time role would feel like when part of the firm, since the location was not in a PwC office. Of course, this is due to factors of pragmatism and was understandable.
The dinner with partners and general networking throughout the insight allowed me to get a good feel for the relationship employees have between one another, and this experience was highly positive and encouraging.
Not only did the insight provide me with valuable content in my particular line of service, it also provided an overview of alternative careers, which considering the stage I am at in deciding on a career path was of high importance.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimbursed reasonably and without excessive administration or questioning. Throughout the insight the meals and accomodation provided were of the highest quality, which added to the experience in a positive manner.
Throughout the insight there were plenty of opportunities for networking and meeting employees, and these people were helpful, interesting and impressive.
I found out about activities outside of work, but only through my own questioning and networking. Had I not been so proactive I would not have found out the information I did, so this is a certain area to target for improvement.
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight, both on the practical level of gaining valuable information about my chosen line of service and the firm itself, but also on the social level of the networking opportunities and ice-breaker activities. I enjoyed talking to the other attendants of the insight and the employees organising the course and hope to see them again in the future. A great two days!
