About You
I really enjoyed the Talent Academy, it gave me the opportunity to gain an insight into PwC. The activities were fun and informative. I really enjoyed myself there and I would recommend this programme to anyone who is interested in professional services.
Many of PwC's partners, directors and senior managers came to the formal dinner to chat with us, it was a very friendly environment. PwC put a lot of effort into making us feel welcomed.
The PwC Early Identification team was there to help us whenever we needed help. The elective sessions were also great, the associates provided us with a lot of guidance and support.
I was able to further develop my employability skills through many of the activities. The debate was a great way for us to practice our team working, communicative and research skills.
The Company
It was very well structured, we were all given an information pack with the timetable right from the start. The programme was packed with activities but we were able to cover everything without running out of time.
I had a lot of fun socialising with the other candidates and networking with people from PwC. The accommodation and facilities were also great.
PwC invested a lot of resources into the Talent Academy. We had extremely informative sessions on the specific service line we applied for. We were also given feedback after all of the activities to help us improve.
We had a networking dinner with partners, directors and managers, this gave us the opportunity to ask questions about their work and PwC in general. We were also able to talk to some of the associates and the graduate recruitment team during our time there to understand more about the graduate programmes. These opportunities really helped me understand what it would be like to have a full time role with PwC.
It made me realise how much emphasis PwC places on developing personal brand and feedback.
The academy consolidated my ambition to work at a professional service firm.
Everything Else
The accommodation and meals were paid for by PwC. PwC will also reimburse me for my travels.
Yes, there was a dinner with partners, directors and senior managers. We were also able to network with associates through the elective sessions.
They were pretty great. We got to talk to people from PwC all throughout the drinking reception and the formal dinner. The partners, directors and senior managers kept on rotating throughout the dinner to give us a chance to talk to all of them.
Yes, many of PwC employees are very passionate about the activities they do outside of work. PwC does a lot of charity work and it encourages its employees to have a good work-life balance.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to have a career in professional services. It was also a great networking experience as I got to know and befriend a lot of the other candidates.
