About You
A huge amount of relevant insight was given into the nature of the company and indeed the corporate world in general. Many of the sessions gave very interesting presentations on trends of human society that were relevant to business, and specific information into lines of service were great, not to mention chatting to directors and partners.
A large amount of effort was put into us by the organisers, on an organisational level. Moreover during the 'networking sessions' personal engagement was enjoyable, and gave personal and experiential context.
We were given a whole session on 'the PwC' professional, guiding us as to what PwC are looking for.
Very speculative question! I don't think the business-world insight will help my Natural Sciences degree somehow. Certainly no fault to the placement here though!
The Company
Very well organised and structured. Plenty to do, but not overwhelming.
Incredibly surprised at how warm, personable, and friendly the atmosphere was- certainly not what I expected from a corporation in the big 4.
They gave us a PwC professional session, guiding us as to what the ultimate PwC employee would be like.
Hard to say, because it seemed to look like the perfect job. May have been presented with a rose tint. Or maybe that was a fair representation...
Again- company culture was discussed by many of the directors/partners at the networking dinner, and the culture seemed fantastic, and supportive.
Very. having gone in skeptical of the moral integrity of City life my fears were calmed. The people seemed genuinely interested in doing a good job and helping their clients, rather than the money.
Everything Else
Payment in free water bottle, hoodie and unhealthy amounts of sweets!
Yes
Brilliant. A sit down dinner with some PwC employees from a range of backgrounds.
A little, e.g. their 6 days of paid leave to do voluntary work.
Definately- if the friend would benefit from PwC. If I thought the friend would go on to cure cancer, I wouldn't mention it, else their career path may be swayed to PwC!
