The Role
The vacation scheme is really well organised. They make sure you get really good exposure to people and practice areas within the firm. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
The people I met were interested in my background and tried to find work for me to do.
As the vac scheme is well organised, I was busy everyday with activities, meeeting people or doing work. Enjoyably so.
You get little responsibility but as you are only there for 2 weeks, this is expected. But the people who gave me the work ensured I understood the bigger picture and our client.
It's a brilliant thing to do to get work experience and to get one foot in the door. And it may lead to a training contract!
The Company
Law offices are quiet but people do chat and have a joke so it's not an intimidating feeling. There's always someone around to chat to.
Very well organised, informed, informative, enjoyable.
They pay abuot £260 per week which is pretty good.
Company Parties/Events
I was offered a training contract the next working day afer my interview.
The Culture
Everyone was always up for a drink and the firm put on 2-3 events during those two weeks.
It's London and it's the City of London....
Bit corporate but you can find nice pubs tucked away and there are a few clubs to choose from.
Football, netball, networking
