The Role
I really got a lot out of my placement and was a really good place to work.
Took me a while, but after a couple of months I felt very part of the team. Worked on a number of projects that influenced parts of my department as a whole.
My manager gave me a lot of support on my projects and also the freedom to make a lot of decisions on my own.
At the start of the year there were periods were I ran out of work to do, but as I got immersed in the role I was able to plan my time more effectively within working hours.
A lot of ownership/ responsibility on various projects.
Doing a placement at Nissan has helped me develop many areas. I have managed to improve my excel, powerpoint, access, communication and networking skills which would definitely be useful for my career development.
The Company
Really Quiet.
Good
Company Car
Company Parties/Events
A fair chance.
The Culture
A few of us placement students lived in the same area, so this helped with us socialising outside of the office.
Lived in Uxbridge which is about 20 mins away from the office. very good commute but slightly expensive.
The office is based in Rickmanswowrth which is a really quiet town. However, we could always take the train into Central London which was only about 45 mins away.
Events/Social team planned monthly socials/activities outside of work.
