About You
Enjoyable but the departments were occasionally quiet due to time of year (summer is traditionally not that busy for most firms) so was slow at times.
Felt very valued - trainees, associates and partners all made effort and gave up their time to interact with us.
Lots of presentations and information and the general scheme was indeed insightful!
Not really relevant until/if you follow a job in this profession. However this is unavoidable, I would be complaining if I had spent two weeks learning about my degree!
The Company
Very well structured - socials planned which were very enjoyable. Schedule made with us in mind and clearly communicated to us at the start of the programme.
Very positive - people were happy to be at work and more than happy to involve you!
IT and basic computer training. Not much more they could do!
Very much so - networking with lots of other people in the firm, be it paralegals, trainees, associates or partners. Everyone was happt to explain what they get up to
Very much so - lots of emphasis put on what the firm believe in and where the firm is headed
Very useful - convinced me I wanted to be a lawyer and I wanted to work at this firm.
Everything Else
£275 per week - mainly for expenses but not reimbursed as such.
Yes, 2 networking lunches, speed networking and endless more informal opportunities.
People very friendly, no one too concerned about taking up too much time etc.
Yes, trainees kept us in the loop and invited us to various non-work activities.
