The Role
Really enjoyed my time at Faurecia. My Manager enabled me to expand my skill set and truly learn how the automotive industry works and operates.
The team were very supportive and we all became good friends during my placement.
My manager was always happy to help me with anything i didn't understand and gave me advice on how i could improve.
I was always busy during my year. my manager managed my work load very well and always asked me if I was bored or overloaded.
My manager gave me plenty of opportunities to be responsible for important tasks whether that was managing projects or visiting suppliers.
My manager gave me very useful advice not just for during my placement year but also for my future working life. could not have asked for a better manager.
The Company
Good balance everyone was always working hard but available for a chat when you felt you needed a break.
Very well organised the only issue I had was waiting for my access for software to be signed of. but this was not managed locally and was effected by the long European bank holiday in August.
I was given valuable training to provide me with skills for futur employment.

Future employment at this company is very appealing. The industry is never boring, but be prepared to work.
The Culture
All the students got along great and regularly attended lunch together whether on-site or off.
Cannot comment as i lived with family during my year, But nights out were reasonable in pubs.
Birmingham is a great night out just not for your wallet.
Aside from invitations to friends events there is nothing relevant to the company which was discussed or offered of-site. However there were dinners outside of work when the team had visitors from Europe which were very nice.
