The Role
I enjoyed working for Faurecia- the company is a multi national company which operates in so many countries so working for them is a real pleasure. You get to experience first hand how global firms work and it is very enjoyable.
Colleagues enjoyed working with me- they appreciated my effort and hard work. I tried to help them and make their jobs as easy as possible, and they also helped me out a lot. They were all very nice and we got on well.
Manager was very approachable, which is one of the most important things for me. Yes, he is busy, but any help or advice I needed, I did not think twice about asking him. He is the UK finance manager so I learnt so much from him when discussing issues.
Some days were more busy than others, but overall, I was busy on every day, which is just how I wanted it and expected it to be. Because of the size of the company, everyone was constantly busy and buzzing around doing their own job.
I was given a good amount. Of course, I was not responsible for the critical stuff or the very sensitive issues, which is expected considering I was a student, but I was given important jobs on a day to day basis which other people and suppliers relied on.
I gained knowledge and experience of Finance sector. I understood more about the daily processes that need to be implemented and the importance of them. I managed to relate my studies at university to this placement which is very important.
The Company
Office was a small open planned office- everyone sat closely together and I would say got on very well. The general mood was happy and positive and motivated work force.
Overall, everything was very organised and information was communicated from HR well. Any changes were communicated in good time and I felt comfortable approaching HR for any issues.
I would have liked to see more if I am honest- more training would have been nice. I had to learn some things on my own which is not ideal, so asking around was the way I learnt sometimes.
Very appealing- I enjoyed every minute of it. Sometimes it was difficult but the experience at the end of the day is what counts, and it is irreplaceable. I am very happy with how it has gone and I will not hesitate to come back in the future.
The Culture
I would have liked to be able to get to know other students better- we met each other beginning of the year and only got together again end of year, so socializing with them would have been nice.
I lived at home so N/A

Not many activities, I would have liked to see more eg sports events. We went out for a couple of meals every now and again which was nice, but would have liked to see more.
