About You
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would - I didn't feel like I was being constantly reviewed.
Very much so - some of my tasks involved real client contact.
Lots - we had trainee buddies, trainers, partner contacts and the graduate recruitment team to talk to.
I'm not sure how useful practical skills are to a law degree, but they would be applicable in the working world.
The Company
Impeccably so.
With these placements, there's always a balance of people wanting to enjoy themselves, but also trying to impress.
Very much so - we received lots of feedback, both written and oral, which must have taken a lot of time and effort to compile.
Although three weeks can only give a narrow insight, I felt the range of activities and employees involved gave us the best impression possible.
Very much so - I felt the scheme gave a genuine insight into the company's culture, and the employees we met were more than happy to talk about life at the firm.
Very, in reaffirming that it is a very challenging, but equally very rewarding, career.
Everything Else
The pay is good, although if you have to fund living in London you won't be going be home with that much spare cash.
Many, both formal and informal, with a range of employees of differing seniority and experience from across the firm.
Excellent - again, I never felt like I was being overly assessed, but that the employees were genuinely interested in what we had to say and vice versa.
Yes - many of us were taken along to departmental social events, and we were all invited to join some of the sports teams.
Definitely, if they were seriously interested in a career in a city law firm.
