  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the experience because it was different and I have never had a full time job before. I learnt a lot about Disney's technology infrastructure and this made it fun and exciting.

  • My colleagues were excellent mentors. They were there when I needed help or had any questions. They did not look down at me just because I was an intern,

  • My manager provided regular one-to-one meetings with me to discuss my goals and progress. It was extremely useful for my self development.

  • It definitely varied, but you could work in your own pace so there was always something to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given the same amount of responsibility as everyone else. They encouraged me to get involved and contribute as much as possible.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Everything I learnt was beneficial and it gave me a broader understanding of technoology applications in a real life organisation. All of this knowledge will help me on my final year project.

  • It was a laid-back, relaxed office environment.

  • I thought the team at Disney organised their interns very well. We had meetings and regular contact with other interns and this gave us the ability to learn from others.

  • There were several learning courses available to us, all which were designed to develop your interpersonal skills and knowledge in particular areas.

  • Our team would organise events and drinks which made it a sociable place to work.

  • London is always expensive but it's definitely manageable. I always watched my spending.

  • London has amazing nightlife if you are into it.
