The Role
I really enjoyed the experience because it was different and I have never had a full time job before. I learnt a lot about Disney's technology infrastructure and this made it fun and exciting.
My colleagues were excellent mentors. They were there when I needed help or had any questions. They did not look down at me just because I was an intern,
My manager provided regular one-to-one meetings with me to discuss my goals and progress. It was extremely useful for my self development.
It definitely varied, but you could work in your own pace so there was always something to do.
I was given the same amount of responsibility as everyone else. They encouraged me to get involved and contribute as much as possible.
Everything I learnt was beneficial and it gave me a broader understanding of technoology applications in a real life organisation. All of this knowledge will help me on my final year project.
The Company
It was a laid-back, relaxed office environment.
I thought the team at Disney organised their interns very well. We had meetings and regular contact with other interns and this gave us the ability to learn from others.
There were several learning courses available to us, all which were designed to develop your interpersonal skills and knowledge in particular areas.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
There are some exciting opportunities at Disney and they are keen to hire previous interns.
The Culture
Our team would organise events and drinks which made it a sociable place to work.
London is always expensive but it's definitely manageable. I always watched my spending.
London has amazing nightlife if you are into it.
Disney has volunteering opportunities that you can take part in.
