About You
The insight was a great opportunity to learn more about the inning workings of the firm and get a grasp of the work I would be doing as a trainee.
A lot of the work that I was tasked to do came from senior associates and partners, so this was great and made me feel valued, especially when I got feedback from them.
Support was always forthcoming as we were encouraged to ask questions at any time.
A lot of the skills I developed will be a huge help when applying for legal jobs this year, as it will give me lots of relevant things to talk about in interview.
The Company
3 weeks was the ideal amount of time, as it allowed us to settle into the firm during the first week, while the second week was focused on assessments and the last week was all about learning from your practice area.
Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to help any time they could, which added to the friendly atmosphere.
We were given practice presentations every morning which introduced us to different areas of law which the firm practised. This was a big investment by the firm as it was usually conducted by associates and senior associates who were extremely knowledgable in their field.
Very helpful as we were guided through what the traineeship would involve on many occasions and were able to discuss this with our trainee buddies.
Very helpful - especially the numerous practice presentations that we received.
Extremely - it provided me with a small insight into what my life would be like as a commercial lawyer, which will be a big factor in my decision whether to continue to pursue this.
Everything Else
The pay was extremely good.
Yes - plenty of opportunities for networking both in office events and social events organised by the trainees.
Very helpful.
Yes - there were plenty of opportunities to get involved in sports teams during my placement.
Yes.
