The Role
It was generally a good placement. I am a guy who enjoys time to relax so in some cases it was good but on some days my work load was very little where I had nothing to do. other days I was busy the whole day so it definitely varied. I learnt a lot about myself in this placement so that's definitely a plus.
pretty valued. sometimes I got boring admin to do but I did this in downtime so it was a good way to refresh your mind. I always had help and support and people were always going out of their way to ensure I had something to do, albeit menial at times.
always, I had a buddy who always would help me and make sure everything was going smooth I also had meetings with her to ensure I was meeting the objectives we set together at the start.
Fluctuated between two extremes generally, which gave the best balance in hindsight so it wasn't so bad.
A fair bit. I had jobs like answering questions from the contractors on sight and had to make sure these were done between time limits given by them.
very much so, learnt more about professionalism and more about what I wanted from life and where I wanted to be long term. I also gained the ability to sit down and work for long periods of time without "feeling like it" and got straight into the zone.
The Company
Pretty sound. at times quiet but sometimes hours went by just learning from someone so pretty good.
Quite good, not always busy but always had something to do. be it an online course even which atkins facilitates.
my tasks were always explained thoroughly and it was made sure I understood what was going on and I had the relevant skills or I learnt the relevant skills to do the tasks correctly.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Decent company but I'm not sure I want to work in this field so maybe not appealing to me but if I objectively look at it, it is very appealing.
The Culture
nice, we went for lunch etc and got to know each other really well after the time had progressed.
great, cheap as chips. (well im from where I did my placement so it was life as usual)
was ok. im not really a clubber etc but was pretty fun to say the least. met loads of new people etc
lots of sports and socials. lots of chances to do stuff
