The Role
It was a great experience to meet future colleagues and get an insight at to what the job is like.
Even though there are clear grades, it didn't affect building relationships with colleagues at all, everyone of all grades was extremely welcoming and helpful.
My first client was very relaxed as a deadline has just been, however my second client was working at the beginning of an audit - so I did work a little overtime to get the work done, but didn't mind as I felt my work was valued.
I study Accountancy and Finance, and did find that my degree knowldege was not all relateable as there is a lot of "common sense" work where my degree would not be needed at all. I learnt a lot about the accounting software used which would set me up for working with them in the future.
The Company
Extremely friendly, people would come over to ask where I'm from, how I'm finding it etc. seemed very genuine.
Extremely well organised, everything was set up for me - induction, clients, networking etc.
I felt very valued and was given responsiblity for my work. The 'buddy' system is brilliant as you are able to meet colleagues that you may not have met if you weren't working on a client with. Also very helpful for asking questions that you may not feel comfortable asking your manager/senior.

I am inspired to apply for a graduate role.
The Culture
It seemed the senior associates didn't socialise a large amount outside of work but I do understand the work/life balance. It is good that PwC organise regular events for socialising outside of the work place.
