    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a great experience to meet future colleagues and get an insight at to what the job is like.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Even though there are clear grades, it didn't affect building relationships with colleagues at all, everyone of all grades was extremely welcoming and helpful.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • 4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My first client was very relaxed as a deadline has just been, however my second client was working at the beginning of an audit - so I did work a little overtime to get the work done, but didn't mind as I felt my work was valued.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • 4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I study Accountancy and Finance, and did find that my degree knowldege was not all relateable as there is a lot of "common sense" work where my degree would not be needed at all. I learnt a lot about the accounting software used which would set me up for working with them in the future.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Extremely friendly, people would come over to ask where I'm from, how I'm finding it etc. seemed very genuine.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely well organised, everything was set up for me - induction, clients, networking etc.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I felt very valued and was given responsiblity for my work. The 'buddy' system is brilliant as you are able to meet colleagues that you may not have met if you weren't working on a client with. Also very helpful for asking questions that you may not feel comfortable asking your manager/senior.

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I am inspired to apply for a graduate role.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It seemed the senior associates didn't socialise a large amount outside of work but I do understand the work/life balance. It is good that PwC organise regular events for socialising outside of the work place.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
