About You
The 2 weeks, one week in each department was great to learning about two different areas of the firm. The socials were good and all the trainees were lovely.
It really depended on what department I was sitting in. Some departments were more inclusive than others and gave work which they were going to use rather than made up tasks specially for vacation scheme students.
The trainee buddy system worked really well and people were always very helpful and open.
I learnt a lot about the industry and the departments I was in.
The Company
The structure was excellent. We were given a talk each day about a different department. But we were still given enough time in our departments. There were the perfect amount of networking events and socials.
The general atmosphere was great. It was a really friendly firm and the majority of people I met were really lovely.
The firm did a lot of training sessions.
I was given many typical trainee tasks so it gave me an idea of what I would be doing if I worked there,
Spending 2 weeks in a firm is the best way to learn about the culture and see if it fits with you.
It gave me an understanding of all the different options I could take.
Everything Else
Paid £275 per week.
Lots of networking opportunities and pretty much everyone would talk to you and answer your questions.
The socials were great. We went to Urban Gold and All Star Lanes.
Yes, but did not have the opportunity to join in with them.
Yes, its a great way to learn about the firm and whether law is a career for you.
