The Role
It was really informative and gave me a great insight into what working in Audit it like. What I have learnt will be invaluable in the future not only in an academic sense but also in improving my work ethic and people skills.
Everyone I have encountered on my placement have been delightful. They are all more than happy to answer any questions and give me guidence. I have been made to feel like a part of the team on every job I have been on and have built strong relationships throughout.
Regular feedback and objective meetings have meant i have been able to stay on track and have meant i have been given the support and guidence I have needed to complete all my tasks to the best standard and to feel comfortable whilst working.
Work has always been presented to me to ensure I havent been idle. I have been busy enough to ensure I have been learning and improving, however, my workload has not been overwhelming.
I have been given an adequate amount of responsibility to allow me to grow and learn, however, not so much that I felt too much pressure on myself and became anxious. I have felt supported whenever given responsibility to know I was not in this alone.
By teaching me this work ethic and how to communicate with clients I feel more confident in the work place which will be invaluable in my future.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly and more than happy to help and have a chat, however, people were also aware that work needed to be done and could stop and focus where needed.
I was given a timetsable of where I would be throughout my placement at the beginning and all meetings were set up in plenty of time. Overall the organisation was great and everything ran smoothly
I was trained as throroughly as possible before I started and everyone has been assisting me in my learning whilst on the job to ensure I develop my skills in a practical sense as well as academic.
Company Parties/Events
I am hoping I will be taken on at the end of my placement
The Culture
Several evening events have been planned whilst I have been here
Cardiff is a very reasonable place financially
Excellent
Some, however I was on placement a very limited time so I have been made aware of more opportunities if i were to return,
