The Role
My internship at PwC was an amazing experience. I was able to work with a great team and work closely with clients, giving me a great insight into the work PwC do.
The teams that I worked with were welcoming and always very helpful - even when I asked them a lot of questions!
Tasks were clearly explained to me and normally the person I would be working with would run an example through with me to make sure I understood. However, they are always willing to help you if you have questions along route.
Most days I was very busy with work. However, some days would be a bit quiter and this gave me time to work on other projects within PwC.
I was given the right amout of responsibility. There is always someone there if you need help!
The mains skills i've developed are team work and time management. These are key in keeping a good working and social life balance which will always need to be balanced. Partaking in the internship has provided me with skills and knowledge which will help in the future for joining a graduate scheme.
The Company
Being located in London, there is always a great atmosphere. We regularly went out for drinks after work.
The internship scheme is well organised. It provides you with every opportunity possible in the time you're here. They have created a great system with everyone having a buddy and people manager to help you integrate more into the company.
From day 1 we were given a high standard of training to prepare us for the work we would be faced with.
Company Parties/Events
At the end of the 6 week internship, you will find out if you have been offered a graduate job.
The Culture
With London interns, we tried to meet up for drinks at least once a week. However, it is difficult to socialise as you are likely to be placed on client site for a large majority of the 6 weeks.
