The Role
I really enjoyed my experience at Buro Happold, firstly the team is very welcoming and helpful, and i worked on projects alongside the team as an equal, learning so much and making many new contacts.
I felt very valued they included me in meetings, emails to clients and manufacturers, and any office activity.
I was given huge support from the management team here. They helped me settle in, and were always ready to answer any of my questions.
I was busy most days, especially when we had a meeting or a deadline was looming otherwise i would be working at a steady pace getting any work i was asked for as good as i could do it.
I was given several responsibilities such as contacting manufacturers, and i was given my very own work that would be mine and i would have to discuss it with my boss, for example how i could increase the accuracy of my spreadsheet or how changing something which i had assumed could change the whole spreadsheet.
The Company
It was a great atmosphere
It was very organised i had work to do as soon as i arrived and i have had work to do ever since, the work was connecting, in the sense that everything i did led onto the next piece of work i had to do.
The company taught me a lot of valuable things that enabled me to work on more technical things.
