The Role
I enjoyed my year at Allianz. both the team and work I was given made it an enjoyable experience.
From the start I was made to feel part of the team, being involved and listened to during the different work I did.
My Manager was always there and willing to help. I could go to anyone and they would find time and show willing to help me.
I was kept busy with different and challenging work. if I ever felt like I had some time, work was always found for me to do.
Within my role I was given lots of responsibilities, at some points including project managing several small projects.
I have managed to develop a lot of skills and knowledge further from where I was at the end of my second year. I can see how this development will help me within my final year.
The Company
It was a very friendly and fun atmosphere, but obviously also focused on getting the work done. It was a great place to be.
The scheme is well organised and my manger was very good at making sure that I got exactly what I needed out of the scheme.
The company are very willing to invest in your development by sending you on training courses, as well as making sure that you are exposed to work and experience that you want within the company.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
The graduate scheme seems to be very good from what I have observed and heard from graduates here. It would be a great place to start a career through the support and experience you would be exposed to if this industry and line of work is for you. However from my point of view I would probably not return for the graduate scheme as I want to d
The Culture
There was lots of times to socialise with other placements or work colleagues. There are lots of sports groups, choir group for people to join as well as team meals and lunches out that occur.
Being in Guildford the cost of living and socialising is quite high.
The night life is ok in the area.
There is a sport and social website with the company that offers discounted trips to places, timetable of all sports groups they have. So there is plenty of activates to get involved with. Also within the Guildford area there is quite a lot of other places to go.
