The Role
I got on really well with colleagues and the school was brilliant, it's just my placement class were particularly challenging!
Colleagues were always supportive of what I was doing, asking how I was progressing and offering advice and help where they saw fit.
Whenever I needed it - I was proactive in asking for help and they were always happy to help in whatever way they saw fit. Equally they left me to be independent as far as possible.
I had a lot of marking and assessment each day, but I expected that. I started the placement impossibly busy, but my time management improved throughout.
Any particularly challenging behaviour was not left for me to deal with, although attempts to diffuse beforehand were handed over to me.
I have faced challenging circumstances so I know I am resilient enough to cope with that.
The Company
Good working relations between the staff, felt comfortable and welcome.
A timetable was devised within days of me arriving, communication was good.
I attended all staff meetings, including an extra session of epi pen training. They also facilitated my involvement of the Take One Picture Project.
Lovely school, would consider working there.
The Culture
In school yes, out of school not really we were all so busy.
I live here anyway so was great.
Didn't go out at night.
Any activities/clubs were school related.
