  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Employees at the firm were always happy to help and give guidance where I needed it, often taking time out of their busy schedules to talk to me, something which I was very grateful for. Through this support I have gained a much better understanding of the operations of a legal firm.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight week had been planned out very well from the start. On the first day I was given a detailed introduction into what I would be doing throughout the week, which was accompanied with a timetable packed with insightful activities. During periods where I did not have scheduled activities, my supervisor made sure I was kept busy by allowing me to assist her in daily operations.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was very focussed but at the same time quite relaxed, which meant that pressure did not build on me too much throughout the week. The people I met were always very friendly, and I enjoyed talking to them very much.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The placement offered a fairly good insight as to what working at a law firm entails, but I think to fully grasp what a full time job would be like, I would have to undertake a longer placement.
