About You
I was always kept busy and was given a hands-on experience at the firm.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
My supervisor was always willing to explain concepts that I did not understand or had not heard about before.
The skills I have developed during my placement will be very useful in my studies. I was reminded of the importance of checking through my work to ensure that it possessed clarity. The commercial presentation certainly will help me when speaking publicly in the future.
The Company
The firm had prepared talks and networking events for the week. These were very useful for gaining a deeper insight into particular aspects of the law and developing a strong network of contacts.
I really enjoyed my time at Taylor Wessing. I was frequently kept busy and always made to feel welcome. The firm has a buzz to it.
There were plenty of events organised for the interns and they put a lot of effort into these. They were also keen to remind us of their high trainee retention rate and how they invest in people.
I was placed among partners, associates, trainees and support staff and was given a useful insight into life at Taylor Wessing.
The talks that were organised helped us to understand the company's ethos of hard work.
The insight week at Taylor Wessing affirmed my thoughts to choose Law as a career.
Everything Else
No payment or remuneration.
The firm had organised a networking lunch for us so that we were able to meet employees outside of the department that we had been assigned to.
The employees were very friendly and HR ensured that we all integrated well.
There are plenty of opportunities to unwind with colleagues outside of work.
I would definitely recommend this placement to someone considering the law as a career.
