    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very much so! There's a reason why I wanted to work for 3M and its because I knew ahead of time that it was an amazing company that not only treats its employees well but is also the world leader in innovation.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given enough support when needed, and also enough freedom to let me learn and grow on my own. It was a healthy amount of guidance.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learned many things in development as well as in manufacturing and I aim to do both in my life so it was an excellent first step into a larger world.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fun mostly, everyone gets along fairly well. No one was ever too serious when it came to work to the point where it truly felt like ''just a job'', it was fun developing products and its nice when you're surrounded by other like minded curious people.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Typical placements are set up in a much more organized structure here, however I was hired as an extra resource to the lab and came in late and hence I wasn't trained the same as the other students in a structured manner. Mine was a bit more of a free flow, but it helped me learn things on my own and helped me develop more confidence in my work.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
