About You
Very - best work experience that I've had the chance to do
As we are not trainees and the employees are very busy it was sometimes difficult to feel valued, especially as there were three of us to one supervisor
They were all very helpful and happy to explain anything if detail or clarification were needed
The timetabled talks were incredibly helpful, and gave us all a good insight into the materials covered. I feel as if I have learnt a lot about what Taylor Wessing does on a day to day basis.
The Company
Very well with a good timetable, however a lot was moved around and a cerain aspect was cancelled at the last minute, meaning it was more difficult to complete or receive tasks from our supervisors.
Felt like I needed to be quiet as not to disturb anyone working, and noone who wasn't with a work experience student spoke to us or wanted to.
A lot more than expected, considering it wasn't an application led placement and we are not graduated law students.
More time in the firm would clarify it more, but the professionalism was very obvious, with the client approach.
The introduction talk about Taylor Wessing on Monday was very helpful in understanding how the firm works, and explains why the trainees, associates and partners act as they do.
Helped me realise that after finishing my law degree I do want to try and gain training contracts and have a career in the legal world.
Everything Else
The resources given were no different to clients or employees (ie stationary, catering) which was incredibly kind. I would not expect travel reimbursment as Taylor Wessing were kind enough to have me for the week anyway.
We had a networking lunch provided and all of the supervisors were happy to talk to us.
Great to be with a group of 19 other work experience students, to communicated with and make new connections through them as well.
'Events' were mentioned, but not ever explored or explained.
Definitely, although I don't know if this would be possible without a connection within the firm.
