About You
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pinsent Masons as I was given a variety of interesting work.
I felt I settled in well in the team, was able to get involved with real work and genuinely felt like I was helpful at times.
I always received detailed feedback on any task I undertook, and was therefore able to improve for the next time round.
I became much more aware of the work required of lawyers, especially in terms of commercial awareness.
The Company
The presentations and socials were very well organised. The presentations were always a good introduction for the day yet having two weeks in the practice group enabled us to really settle in and get involved with the work.
The firm genuinely has a friendly atmosphere and I found everyone to be supportive and approachable.
IT training was very useful, and each task was well explained to me.
It made me aware of what it would be like, and I found out valuable information about factors such as work/life balance.
The company has a friendly culture and this definitely came across over the two weeks. I found it motivating to be working with other hard-working people who were so supportive and helpful.
Incredibly valuable, I was always fairly sure I wanted to do commercial law but this has confirmed it, and that Pinsents would be an excellent firm for me to progress with.
Everything Else
I was paid for the two weeks and we were reimbursed expenses for a trip to London.
Office drinks and the practice group presentations gave plenty of opportunities to meet other employees and ask them questions.
They were very enjoyable, and again an opportunity to network and gain an insight into the type of people the firm employs.
There seem to be many sporting events taking place which is good.
I really enjoyed all aspects of the scheme, and found the work very interesting.
