About You
I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation placement - I was made to feel like a valued member of the Banking department team, was given a great variety of work, and met some great people from across the firm.
I felt valued - many different lawyers gave me work to do.
I received all the guidance and support I needed from my trainee buddy and supervisor.
I developed numerous skills, for example organisation, time management and prioritising which will assist me in my degree studies and beyond. The information I received will help me when it comes to deciding in which areas of law I would like to practise in the future.
The Company
Very well structured - a great mix of activities and the placement was organised well.
The atmosphere in my practice area was supportive and open. My fellow vac schemers were all lovely and we got along very well.
I think the firm invested a lot in the vac scheme students - equipping us with all the information we need and arranging excellent activities for us to take part in.
I got a really good insight into life as a lawyer at Pinsent Masons.
I got a really good feel for the culture of the firm.
I have been pursuing a career as a commercial solicitor for a couple of years - so the content of the vacation placement confirmed my desire to become a commercial solicitor.
Everything Else
I was paid adequately.
There were plenty of opportunities, for example at the summer party and the partner lunch.
There was an excellent variety and the right number of events.
Yes, the vac scheme students received emails about activities outside of work.
Definitely - my experience was so positive.
