The Role
Very good experience, constantly learning surrounded by interesting and intellectually stimulated individuals.
Working on the same stock meant that there was a certain element of teamwork which I enjoyed.
FIL provide a lot of support both by senior management and ex-PMs and recent graduates.
Quite busy most the time, as need to constantly learn in order to complete the stock pitches.
A lot of individual learning and working meant that, although it didn't add value to the firm, I felt as if I had a good level of responsibility,
Not particularly relevant to my degree but very useful if I were to pursue a career in AM.
The Company
Strong, everyone breathes equities and combs through the literature with zeal.
HR were good at organising events, nothing to complain.
A lot both financially and time, we had our own Bloomberg terminals and 3 days of formal intense training. I would recommend applying to FIL.
Great, they are a good company with skilled management. I would recommend applying to FIL.
The Culture
Yes, similar age, similar interests, good social environment.
London so no but could be worse.
London so good but there were some who perhaps welcomed the scene with perhaps too much enthusiasm and paid the price.
Yes, from amphitheatres to Hayward Heath to Goldman and Bloomberg.
