The Role
The social programme was excellent, and the interns were closely looked after. However, I really struggled to find work to do on my initial project, and with one major exception, felt that this was a minimal priority for team members. Fair enough if they were busy and didn't have time to explain, but a failing of the project allocation-team.
Valued, but underworked. One major exception to this, who was genuinely helpful and seemed anxious to present the best insight available.
Some, but not much. Again, one or two major exception.
Sometimes extremely busy, but other days thumb-twiddling for hours.
Limited on my first project. Virtually no client-facing responsibility.
Some way: expectation management, professionalism, interacting with professional colleagues, improved business acumen, Microsoft excel and communication skills all improved too
The Company
Pretty friendly and laid back
Well organised with the exception of within my project, where there was virtually nothing to do. Additionally, the HR team frequently asked me for the same document again and again, despite having provided it several times.
