The Role
A great way to get a feel for the firm, its culture and the work it does.
As a vac scheme student you're only there for two weeks so probably won't be doing any 'important' work - it's more a chance to get a feel for the firm.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The departments as a whole were quite busy but as a vac scheme student there won't always be something suitable that you can help with.
You can't really be given that much responsibility when you're only in a department for one week.
Definitely gave me a good insight into the workings of a law firm before starting my LPC.
The Company
Very busy!
Well organised, lots of talks on the different areas of work that the firm does.
That's not the point of a vac scheme
Am now a trainee with the firm!
The Culture
Yes, vac scheme students often went for lunch together and drinks/dinner in the evening, everyone got along well.
Central London prices, as expected.
Some nice pubs and bars in the area
You can't really expect that on a 2 week vacation scheme!
