    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A little tough to begin with, as the computer and phone didn't really work on the first day, but I have really got into it and enjoyed it as the week progressed.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • More so in the second week, but even the first week was very welcoming

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Given the chance to get feedback on work that I had completed and compare it with similar work completed by trainees.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Plenty of work in first week, less so in second but filled in spare time with graduate recruitment tasks.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Had some work that needed to be completed for clients, but (as would be expected) most of my work was researching into hypothetical scenarios.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Given me a real insight into the legal working environment and helped me to adapt my knowledge to a practical environment.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Some good events arranged, but the trainees didn't look particularly interested when we were there. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere from most senior lawyers.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Timetable set out from day one, and enabled us to frame our activities around this.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Lots of feedback from senior lawyers, and opportunity to analyse comparitive trainee work.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Not sure yet. Had an assessment centre but can't comment until I see the outcome.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Arranged to go for lunch almost every day and had the chance to go to St Pauls and local art galleries. Maybe a little slow for some people, but I'm a bit boring so I loved it!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • 3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 4/5
