The Role
A little tough to begin with, as the computer and phone didn't really work on the first day, but I have really got into it and enjoyed it as the week progressed.
More so in the second week, but even the first week was very welcoming
Given the chance to get feedback on work that I had completed and compare it with similar work completed by trainees.
Plenty of work in first week, less so in second but filled in spare time with graduate recruitment tasks.
Had some work that needed to be completed for clients, but (as would be expected) most of my work was researching into hypothetical scenarios.
Given me a real insight into the legal working environment and helped me to adapt my knowledge to a practical environment.
The Company
Some good events arranged, but the trainees didn't look particularly interested when we were there. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere from most senior lawyers.
Timetable set out from day one, and enabled us to frame our activities around this.
Lots of feedback from senior lawyers, and opportunity to analyse comparitive trainee work.
Not sure yet. Had an assessment centre but can't comment until I see the outcome.
The Culture
Arranged to go for lunch almost every day and had the chance to go to St Pauls and local art galleries. Maybe a little slow for some people, but I'm a bit boring so I loved it!
