About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the vacation scheme, it was well organised and I felt like I was doing real work.
I felt like a part of the team and everyone had time to talk to me to explain things or even just for a chat.
There was just enough guidance throughout the scheme without it being intrusive. I knew where to get support from if I needed it but, at the same time, I didn't feel like I was being constantly bombarded by Graduate Recruitment- that would have taken away from the real work experience.
The skills and information will be so important for a future career in law.
The Company
The structure was clearly set out from the first day.
The atmosphere with colleagues was really fun as well as the events organised for after work.
The firm invested so much time and expense in our development- we had a negotiation skills workshop which I found particularly insightful and valuable.
I felt like I was able to observe what the employees and partners really do on a daily basis, they weren't pretending.
The atmosphere of the place gave a great impression of the company culture
It is something that I can see myself doing in the future.
Everything Else
Paid by cheque at the end of each week, I also hardly had to pay for lunch for myself during the three weeks.
Yes there were evening socials throughout the three weeks and different talks/fairs during the day.
It was nice to talk to other members of the firm, outside the department you were sitting in.
These opportunities are something which really attracted me to the firm eg volunteering, sports etc
I really enjoyed it
