About You
Having really enjoyed the assessment day, when I obtained a place on the scheme I thought I'd really enjoy my three weeks at Nabarro. The scheme has exceeded these expectations however, from day one we've all been made incredibly welcome within the firm and I've enjoyed all aspects of the scheme.
Grad recruitment, my buddy, my supervisors and everyone else within the organisation really does make you feel welcome. Partners are as welcoming as trainees so the firm avoids feeling hierarchical. It has been incredibly rewarding to see work that I have done for partners and associates really help them and ultimately help the firms continued success.
I received as much support as I required throughout the scheme. Whilst you are encouraged to use your own initiative and attempt to figure out situations for yourself, help is always provided should you be unsure of a particular point.
Difficult to say currently, however I feel the commercial slant of the work will stand me in good stead in my future career.
The Company
Grad Recruitment did an excellent job of putting together a diverse program of activities throughout the program. As such you are always kept busy with interesting and stimulating tasks.
The general atmosphere could be summed up by the phrase 'work hard play hard.' Everyone here works incredibly hard resulting in some outstanding work, however everyone also knows when to have a laugh and enjoy themselves. This makes Nabarro a very enjoyable environment within which to come and work on a daily basis.
Possibly not directly in me, however I definitely as I alluded to earlier feel that I have benefited immensely from the program.
Having sat next to my buddy who is a trainee throughout the scheme, and been given work reminiscent of that which a trainee would complete, I know feel that I have an excellent understanding of what being a trainee solicitor for a leading city firm would be like
The friendly, collegiate atmosphere that the firm promotes is incredibly engaging and I really feel I now understand what working here full time would be like.
Very, I now know that I want to work at Nabarro.
Everything Else
I was paid £825
Yes plenty
The social aspects of the scheme were incredible, even if nothing else I feel I've met some incredible people and made some very good friends
Yes, whilst I didn't get time to get involved in too much it is clear that members of the firm get involved in plenty of activities outside of the office.
Definitely, 100%
