About You
This insight was hectic but extremely enjoyable, Graduate Recruitment put a lot of effort into making you feel welcome and included from the first day.
I was lucky enough to work for a variety of lawyers at different levels on current projects. This meant I got great exposure but also all my work was relevant and being sent out to clients.
The trainee network at the firm were extremely supportive. Two in particular would visit myself and the other Vac Schemer once a day to check how we were faring and always on hand for 'silly questions'. Lawyers at all other levels were always approachable which made learning easier and the experience less daunting.

The Company
The internship was structured well both in terms of work and social life. We had 2 socials a week which fostered great relationships with other interns and trainees in particular. Beyond this, there were breakfast briefings which gave a well-rounded view of the firm. This was integral as we only sat in one department. All supervisors and lawyers saw you as potential future colleagues and therefore ensured you got good work.
Intelligent and fun! All the other interns were friendly and there was no competitive feeling. After only two weeks I felt very settled.
As Nabarro only recruit through their Vacation Scheme the firm invests a lot of time in giving you experiences to learn. Having done a previous scheme I could really see the difference, and many other interns expressed the same belief.
I was doing many tasks that a Trainee would do and therefore gave me a great understanding of what the outset of my career in law would entail.
The culture at Nabarro really is the people who are all friendly and willing to help!
For a prospective lawyer I believe there is little you could fault this firm for.
Everything Else
The rate was indicative of other schemes at this level. Overall, however, it could be an insufficient amount for those having to rent accommodation in London.
Yes - you could email and organise to meet up with any employee (including Partners) and were encouraged to. The socials gave us exposure to trainees, associates and Partners.
Relaxed, fun and boozy!
Yes we heard about Charities, Sports and Pro Bono - unfortunately we didn't get a chance to get directly involved.
Without a doubt.
