The Role
I really enjoyed the internship there was a lot of responsibility given to me which meant I was able to learn a lot and contribute to my teams projects. The team was really friendly and helpful in advising me on how to do the work given to me and also provided a good sociable atmosphere.
They gave me relatively important work that went towards presentations given to clients, this made me feel valued by the team.
The majority of the team were away during my internship hence there wasn't a huge amount of guidance, however when they were in the office they were really informative and helpful.
Some days were busy and I had a fair amount of work to do where as other days there was not a lot for me to do, however the talks and handover project set up by HR kept me busy. Overall the amount of work on a daily basis was sufficient.
Some projects I was given a fair amount of responsibility, for example gathering data to do analysis on the markets and this information was used in client meetings. Also mathematical calculations on excel updating reports.
I found the talks very informative and relevant to my degree, the skills on the day to day work I did were helpful in giving me a professional experience. For example the use of excel and speaking over the phone to agents are both professional experience that has been really helpful.
The Company
The team were very sociable and friendly, it was a great atmosphere to work in.
The internship was very well organised with talks, days out and networking events which padded out the 4 weeks well giving a good variety in exposure to Savills and the industry as a whole.
There was not direct training however the experience was very useful and I picked up a lot of knowledge and skills throughout the 4 weeks.
