The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement and the work I have undertaken in the last month. However, I felt there was little opportunity to get to know the team and ask them questions regarding their job, graduate schemes and APC.
During my placement I have been given full support and each task has been explained to me in great detail to ensure I understand what I need to do. Furthermore, I have always felt comfortable asking questions, particularly to people who I have worked most closely with over the last month.
I have been very busy during my placement which has gave me a great taste of how work life would be at Savills. I have thoroughly enjoy being busy and the work I have been undertaking has been very interesting.
I have been given a fair amount of responsibility to carry out work independently on a project for the director. I was also encouraged to get involved with a presentation to another Savills office which provided me a great opportunity to improve my presentation skills in a work environment.
The skills I have learnt during my placement will put me in good stead to begin my masters in September and my career beyond university.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was very quite.
The placement was very well organised and I felt well informed for my first day.
The company have invested a considerable amount of time to help me develop my skills and knowledge which I have fully appreciated.
Future employment with Savills is very appealing and I intend to apply for there 2016 graduate scheme in the same department and office which I have spent the last month on my summer scheme.
The Culture
There was limited social scene outside the working day, however I did attend a couple of social events which I thoroughly enjoyed.
