The Role
I enjoyed the majority of the work undertaken on the placement, but there was not much variety in the tasks which was a shame as the rest of the team had a variety of roles so it would have been nice to experience more of what the job entailed.
The work I did was well received and people made an effort in feedback to state the positives as well as where it could be improved
There was a great deal of support given for the work, future career and future with Savills
There were days when I was busy all day but there were also days where I had no work and had to constantly ask around for work which it was clear the team found a nuisance
I was given more responsibility than I imagined I would be on the internship, for instance I was given projects to complete on my own that were going to clients the next week. These projects were obviously checked by the rest of the team but it made me feel like I was contributing positively to the work load.
It has given me an understanding of the necessary skills for the role, which skills I need to work on and where my strengths lie.
The Company
Quite a nice atmosphere; hard work but banter at the same time.
the initial arrangements were not so well organised, didn't get any details for a long time, but once the internship had started everything was run really well with a schedule which offered enough flexibility to get stuck in with work for your team but also to get to know the kind of work that the different departments dealt with.
Each department gave talks on their area of the business, time was allocated for the interns to get out into the city to see the developments that the company dealt with, within the team time was put aside to introduce the interns to the department and the tasks.
Financial Bonus
Enjoyed the placement but not sure I am the rigt fit for the company
The Culture
