The Role
The work was interesting and varied. On several occasions, I was asked to join agents on site visits and viewings. It was helpful to gain an insight into the work Savills employees undertake outside the office.
From the outset everyone that I met in the office was very friendly and welcoming. There is an excellent atmosphere and culture within the firm.
My mentor was very helpful throughout. Once tasked with a piece of work, she would always be on hand to answer any questions I may have.
It depended on a day-to-day basis. The majority of the time I had work to get on with. However, there were occasions when both my team were on holiday and I was left to try and find work from other departments.
A good deal. For example, I was tasked with phoning and emailing clients to make enquiries.
I am studying a non-cognate degree. And as such, the training I have received does not really assisted me in my degree studies. It has however strengthened my communication, organisational and general professional skills.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office is great. There is an overwhelming sense that all the employees are enjoying working at the firm.
The internship is well organised and structured. We were given a helpful handbook prior to starting and colleagues were always on hand if we needed support.
There were no particular training/development days. But the general experience gained from working in the office was valuable.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
There seems to be a wide range of opportunities available for prospective graduates. I often receive emails of new job openings around Europe.
The Culture
There were only 3 of us in the regional office..
I lived at home so costs were minimal.
Brilliant - nothing else in England compares. (My view may be biased)
I was invited to the weekly softball matches as well as the Savills summer party.
