The Role
Really good environment, everyone very friendly and welcoming
I felt I was given work that was useful for big projects the team were working on at the time
Assigned a mentor who provided me with most of my work and also a graduate who helped me with things and I could ask questions - this was a good support and made asking questions feel much less intimidating
Varied but generally quite busy
Given a number of tasks which contributed towards main projects so I felt that I had a decent level of responsibility especially considering as an intern that is not often possible
Learnt how to use of a number of programmes which I had never used before
The Company
Friendly / fun - people work hard but also have a laugh and there is very little sense of hierarchy which is a very good thing - sit next to Directors etc
Well organised - had some departmental talks which were useful and interesting. Could have done with more organised intern events / networking events as they were really good but not often enough.
The Culture
We went for drinks most evenings and organised a good amount of extra stuff
Central London quite expensive
Fun good bars etc
Some people joined in a rounder's tournament in a lunchtime / that sort of thing often went on
