The Role
It has truly been a great work experience, as it not only provided in depth insights into one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies structure, history and the ways of doing business, but it also allowed me to improve and develop many of my personal skills and helped me grow as an individual.
Everyone within my team and people that I had a chance to work with seemed very friendly and easily approachable. Moreover, being looked as qualified professional and not as industrial placement student allowed me to become more confident in my role and feel like a valuable addition to the team.
I was provided with guidance by my colleagues and my line manager for every assigned task as well as all of my questions and queries were answered with in depth guidance to better understand the process and the way the task in question should be approached.
Daily workload varied throughout the year. However, I have to say that I was kept pretty busy on the daily basis with the constantly growing demand for costumised reports as well as with the projects that I had chance to take part in.
Throughout my placement year I was given a great amount of responsibilities including the report request for the CET members of the company, but probably the greatest challenges came from the projects that I took part in, such as joint venture with Novartis as well as still ongoing project GEMINI.
I believe that all personal and technical skills (such as Excel, SAP and Workday reporting, as well as SQL writing capabilities) that I gained during my placement year will definitely come in handy not only during my final year at university, but also in my future career.
The Company
Even though the atmosphere was fairly professional, jokes and casual chats were circling around. Overall - lovely environment to work in.
Everything seemed organised - cannot complain.
There were quite a few personal and skills development sessions over the year which were led by experienced professionals in their specific area.

The Culture
Met loads of new people with who I will definitely keep in touch even after my placement.
Well it is London, I think it explains it pretty much. It was more expensive to what I was accustomed to, but it was alright.
Plenty of places to go and have a good night out with your workmates.
Volunteering, charity work and etc., etc. :)
