The Role
It was an amzing experience, I feel like I have learnt so much throughout the year. I especially enjoyed working with my supervisor and other experts in different fields, I have had the chance to learn so much from them. My work colleagues were very nice, which made the whole environment very pleasant to work in. All the people from the company were very nice and helpful.
As mentioned before, my colleagues were very nice to work with and they were respectful and appreciative of the work I have been doing, especially in listening to my poster and presentations on my project.
My manager always helped me, no matter with what questions I had. He has been very supportive and directed me to the right people, when he did not know the answer to any questions I might have had.
I have been busy every day since I started, which made my day go quicker. I like being busy, as I feel efficient. There were some times when I was more busy and got a bit stresfull, but not above a certain limit.
For my project, I have been showed what to do and then I was left to do it on my own, which felt really rewarding, I got more help for parts of my project where I did not have enough experience. I also had responsibility for samples from the whole department.
I developed a range of laboratory skills, as well as transferable skills. I think I have learnt more than I imagined, from presentation to communicaion skillt to really more challenging laboratory skills, which will definitely help me a lot in the future.
The Company
Very nice, relaxed and happy environment. People are sometimes stressed, but di dnot have any particular problems with that. Found teh office to be quite a nice place to work in.
It was organised in the beginning. I had some trouble with geeting the right answers from the right people, as everyone i svery busy. The placement itself was organised in a good manner as I always had something to do.
Lots of training: writing, presentation and laboratory-based training, which proved to be so helpful in so many areas. I think that the company invests enough time in providing the neccessary training for all employees, which is very helpful.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Depending on the structure of the company in the upcoming years, I think I will consider a job at this company, as the level of care given to employees seems to be fine.
The Culture
Nice lunch time and different social events such as the Christmas dinner and a boat party were very nice, as it gave me the chance to socialize a lot more with my fellow colleagues.
Hm, it is expensive if you go out a lot, but reasonable, if you choose the right events.
Hm, not great, not too many places to go around.
Social activities such as footgolf and christmas dinner with my group. Did not do more than that.
