The Role
I really enjoyed my placement. I felt that I learned a lot and grew in confidence.
I felt valued by my collegues, my supervisor was very patient and spent a lot of time with me answering my questions and training me at the beginning.
My supervior was very supportive and spent a lot of time with me answering my questions and training me at the beginning. Other colleagues were also very helpful and spent time teaching me things in the lab.
I was always very busy, which I really liked as I felt that my placement challenged me.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility.
It helped a lot, physically doing something helps you to understand something in a way that you never could from just sitting and listening in a lecture theater.
The Company
The atmosphere was very friendly and in general everyone got on well.
The placement was very well organised. I was always busy and had work to do and it was very relevent to my degree course.
We had the opportunity to attend lectures and I had a personal development plan to help me get the most out of my placement.

I think that it is very competitive to get a permanent job there but it would be an appealing job opportunity.
The Culture
Yes we often had social events as a department.
It was relatively cheap.
There was not a lot of nightlife unless you went into London
Yes there were definately opportunities to get involved in sports outside work.
