The Role
It was quite honestly, the best thing I have ever done. I now know where I want to go after my degree and how to go about getting there.
This depended on the colleague. Some people treated you like the lowest rung on the ladder (which to be fair, we were) but plenty of others were helpful and nice. Just like any workplace you'll have nice people and not so nice people, thankfully the nice people were in the majority.
My supervisor was amazingly helpful and always available if I needed help
Some days were less busy than others but that was the nature of my job. I was never usually left twiddling my thumbs however and was rarely run off my feet.
I was given as much as was necessary. By the end of the year I was working fairly autonomously but had hit a ceiling as regards how much responsibility I had. Which was perfect really since the placement was only for a year.
I now have some knowledge of how the industry works and a much better set of practical skills to use for when I return to my studies.
The Company
I loved my office. The people were fun and we enjoyed our time together!
There were certain issues, most of them caused by the fact we were technically employment by a recruitment agency. Other than that the system is well established to accommodate students and is very well set up.
As much as was necessary for them I think. We were invited along to almost every lecture and seminar series taking place and had various team building opportunities. Anything more wasn't really necessary or viable seen as we were only tere for a year.

They're not hiring hugely at the moment but from speaking to current staff, many of them were placement students before becoming permanent staff, so the prospects are good.
The Culture
We had a great time amongst ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed each others company.
Rent was a bit expensive but everything else was actually quite cheap.
Not great. We end up in a lot of the same places week after week.
Provided you invested a bit of time and effort in organisation, yes.
