The Role
Really enjoyed it, I got to work on projects that will change the company long after I have finished.
Very valued, my opinions and feedback was alwys taken seriously and I was always thanked for the work I was doing.
There has been a lot of support. My manager always checked in with me to make sure I was balancing my workload, giving me more to do when things were quite and easing off when I was very busy. Also lots of support has been given from the graduate team as well as the talent board.
I was bussier in the last weeks than at the start but my workload was always manageable.
A lot of respnsibility, no one checked over my work before it went live, my name is next to everything I've done.
Time management will be a skill I use moving forward. I'm also in the 9-5 habit now so I'll be able to spend the whole day in uni now too.
The Company
The atmousphere was really nice. Everyone was willing to help and if not they would alway steer me in the direction of someone who could help me.
Internship was organised well we were all given projects to work from but there was also room to create work for yourself, or solve problems you see.
There were loads of events put on to develop our skills. For example we had excel training sessions as well as presentation training.

Working from home
Very appealing, it's a FTSE100 company and always ranks highly in placement leauge tables. Also they really give their graduates great opportunity to move up in the company.
The Culture
The social side was nice. I lived in a flat with other placement students in Manchester. We alwas went out at weekends together and we also went out with the graduates in the area. It was nice getting to know the other placement students and the graduates in the busisness.
Manchester is quite affordable, you get all the perks of a major city without the high prices,
Manchester has amazing nightlife, there's loads of clubs, bars, concerts and comedy shows on so there will always be something to do at the weekend. Also the shopping is great.
Yes, we got to do a charity challenge which involved us raising as much money for shelter. I got to volunteer in a shelter shop, volunteer at a donor drive and put on a wear red for shelter day in the office. Centrica is big of corporporate responsibility.
